Key Stage Test Results 2008 - update week beginning December 15

Readers will be aware that the Department's Head of Profession for Statistics decided to delay publication of provisional KS3 results at the local authority level until there was sufficient volume of data for every local authority in all three subjects (English, Mathematics and Science) to enable publication of a complete set of provisional results on a consistent basis for all local authorities. In week commencing 17 November the Head of Profession published an update to make it clear that the Key Stage 3 local authority level data would not be published until the results of reviews were known. Although the vast majority of reviews have now been completed and schools informed of the outcome of those reviews, Ofqual have still to report on the review process and the overall quality of marking. This report is expected early in the New Year. Once analysts in the Department have had time to digest this report a further announcement about the publication of Key Stage 3 results at local authority level will be made on this website.
