Our ideas
It is already clear that there will be many exciting things to do in the run-up to the Games. The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has established a Trust that will work with a range of partners, including the London 2012 Organising Committee, to plan a programme of inspirational cultural and sporting initiatives between 2006 and 2012.
We will be working with DCMS, the London 2012 Organising Committee and the GLA to ensure that young people, schools and colleges are involved in planning and taking part in the various events across London and the rest of the country.
We will also be encouraging schools and colleges to take the lead in staging their own events, using 2012 to inspire their young people.
