Child Protection and Referrals (England)
The CPR3 consists of two parts. Part A collects information about the referral of children to children's social care and the subsequent assessment procedure. Many of these children go on to receive a service as Children in Need. Part B collects further information about those children who enter the child protection system.
The CPR3 return and guidance are consistent with the inter-agency guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children. The return is completed on-line; CPR3 form (pdf 33kb) is for illustrative purposes.
A workbook has been provided to help Local Authorities calculate their APA indicators, prior to submission of their CPR3 data. This can be obtained from the APA download page.
