We are a national association of families who have adopted from abroad. The organisation is run by volunteers and is a registered charity.

Our overall aim is to help our adopted children grow up happy and well adjusted, proud of their birth country, and well integrated into their country of adoption. We do this by supporting intercountry adoptive families in identifying and resolving the issues they encounter as an intercountry adoptive family by promoting intercountry adoption as a well founded method of building a family and by supporting pre-adopters in identifying and addressing the issues they may encounter as an intercountry adoptive family.

Intercountry Adoption Centre (IAC) is the only registered adoption support agency whose services are dedicated to support services for people whose lives are touched by intercountry adoption and to adoption professionals.

IAC aims to achieve the best outcomes for children who are placed in intercountry adoption throughout their lifetime through the provision of support service before, during and after intercountry adoption.  The agency also supports best practice through its subscription service to local authorities and voluntary adoption agencies and training and consultation for adoption professionals.

We are a charitable intercountry adoption support organization, designed to provide information, educational and cultural resources to our members. We are made up of nearly 1000 adoptive families and run entirely by volunteers.  We offer a wealth of relevant experience to established and prospective adopters and those who work with them . Children Adopted from China (CACH)
Children Adopted from China (CACH) was formed in 1995 as a voluntary support network for parents throughout the UK who had adopted or were in the process of adopting a child from China.  It was established not as a political or lobbying group, but as a network for both parents and adopted children to provide them with an opportunity to meet, make friendships and share experiences with similar individuals.

These values still hold true today and from small beginnings CACH now has a membership of over 700 families throughout the UK all benefiting from invaluable peer support and advice from other adoptive parents together with a network supporting both local and national social events. CACH offers two main types of membership, full membership for those families that have already adopted from China and an associate membership for those for whom the journey of adoption is not yet complete. Although some events and some web access is limited to full members, both types of membership benefit from an excellent quarterly magazine containing useful articles and information for adults and children alike, as well as updates on forthcoming local events.
