Please note that the DfES no longer provides Progress File materials, as the principles and processes which underpin Progress File are now well established and have been adopted in an increasing range of other products and services.
As the DfES does not prescribe any one particular approach, users are encouraged to continue applying those principles and processes to their own circumstances, making use of other tools and solutions as appropriate. To help in this transition the DfES has waived all copyright in its Progress File materials so that these can be adapted and copied for local use.

Getting Started - aimed at Year 9 is the first booklet in the Progress File series designed to help young people develop as independent learners.Moving On - the second booklet in the Progress File series, aimed at Years 10 and 11, continues the development of planning and managing own learning.
Widening Horizons - the third booklet in the Progress File series, is designed to help those in post-16 education, training and employment develop as independent learners.
