The Register of Education and Training Providers

The Register of Education and Training Providers

ATTENTION - IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE APPLICATION PROCESS EFFECTIVE FROM 3rd MARCH 2008

Please note that all applications received on or after 3rd March 2008 must be on the new electronic application form.

Providers applying to the Register of Education and Training Providers may be subject to an unannounced pre-registration check. These checks, aimed at improving the students' education experience by eliminating bogus colleges, will confirm the existence of the provider and permit checks on documentary evidence. Providers failing the pre-registration check will not be able to re- apply for three months and will be liable for the cost of any further pre-registration checks.

The Register of Education and Training Providers is a list of education and training providers in the UK. Providers on the Register will have met all the criteria set out in the application process.

Any education institution recruiting international students who need student visas is welcome to apply for registration.

The Home Office will not grant anyone leave to enter or remain in the UK as a student, or leave to study to an overseas student national, unless he or she plans to study at a college on the Register.

IMPORTANT: The Register does not quality assure the services offered by providers. Registration does not imply quality standards and should not be used in marketing. We reserve the right to remove organisations from the Register for such use.

The registration process is one of continual assessment and those failing to maintain such standards will be subject to review. Failure of continuing compliance with the criteria may lead to removal from the Register.
