Description	This Statistical First Release presents key statistics on the awards of key skill qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The information provided is taken from the key skills database. This is a joint project between the Department for Education and Skills and the Qualification Curriculum Authority (QCA). The statistics on candidates taking and achieving key skills are collated from the information supplied by those Awarding bodies who offered key skills between October 2000 and September 2003. This SFR updates the figures presented in the previous SFR "Awards of Key Skills Qualifications October 2000 to September 2002".
