Outcome Indicators for Looked after Children, Twelve months to 30 September 2004 - England

DescriptionThis Statistical First Release covers a range of outcome indicators for children who have been continously looked after for at least 12 month in England. This is the second time an SFR has been published although a detailed volume has been released on an annual basis since 2000. The key points will cover: The number of children looked after continuously for at lease 12 months, absences and exclusions, achievements at key stage 1, 2 and 3, Year 11 children who obtained at least 1 GCSE (or equivalent), employment status at end of Year 11, cautions and convictions and immunisations, dental checks and health assessments.

The publication is used by policy colleagues to monitor and formulate policy on the provision of services for children looked after by local authorities.
