Referrals, Assessments, and Children and Young People on Child Protection Registers, England - Year ending 31 March 2006

Description	This annual Statistical First Release contains national figures on referrals, assessments and children and young people on the child protection register for year ending 31 March 2006. The publication contains historical data for comparison puposes. The content is the same as previous SFRs in the series. Additional tables have been added to the SFR, including LA level tables. These tables replace the statistical volume that in previous years has been released in January. The volume summary and commentary is now available alongside the SFR as additional information. There has also been a correction to one of the figures in Table A of the SFR: the number of core assessments in 2006 has been amended to 84,800.
