Further Education, Work-based Learning for Young People, Train to Gain and Adult and Community Learning - Learner Numbers in England - October 2006 [Prepared and published by the Learning and Skills Council in consultation with DfES statisticians

DescriptionThis Statistical First Release updates ILR/SFR09 published 23 March 2006, which showed learner numbers in Learning and Skills Council funded Further Education (FE) and in Work Based Learning for Young People (WBLYP) at 1 October 2005, with figures for October 2006. The SFR will show learners by age (under 19, 19 and over), gender, sector subject area (SSA), ethnicity and level. For FE learners, figures will show more detailed age breakdowns of learners by institution type and mode of attendance. For WBLYP, the SFE will give breakdowns by programme of study and will also show the number of starts. The SFR will also include breakdowns of learners on Train to Gain.
